Today was the last day for Kara’s teacher at school. She will be gone for the last 2 days of school and pre-K graduation on Thursday. Mrs. Moore is an exceptional teacher and she has prepared Kara and her classmates well for kindergarten. The class had a goodbye party for Mrs. Moore today and one of the activities involved the personal yearbook that I worked on with the students all year. Each student received their finished yearbook and discussed which month/topic was their favorite and why. Kara said that everyone had a different answer and that it was fun to talk about what happened this year.

I have been in possession of all 16 personal yearbooks all year as the students completed their two pages monthly. I gave the completed books to Mrs. Moore last week so she could look at them and distribute them to the students. It was bittersweet when I opened Kara’s backpack today and saw her personal yearbook inside. I was happy that it has come home but sad that Kara’s preschool years are coming to an end.

There were a few tears shed when I hugged Mrs. Moore and we said our goodbyes today. I know I am going to be a wreck on graduation!

    • Thanks Linda. I guess being a mom is just sentimental because our kids are always doing something new or finishing up something. Life is bittersweet sometimes but I am glad to keep experiencing all this with my kids! I hope your family is doing well!

  2. Aw, I can only imagine. That picture of her is crazy as it shows how much she has grown!
