Every year we give my children’s teachers a scrapbook during teacher appreciation week. The scrapbook contains layouts of all the major events for that school year.
The process is pretty easy for me. First, I create digital scrapbook pages for my children’s school scrapbooks. The layouts have mostly pictures of my kids in them. For the teacher layouts, I swap out some pictures of my kids with pictures of other kids in the class and change the journaling to be more general instead of geared specifically for my children. Giving the teacher appreciation scrapbooks motivates me to complete my children’s school scrapbook pages before the school year is complete!
This year I made 3 scrapbooks. One for my daughter’s teacher and two for my son’s teacher and teaching assistant. The kids made their own front pages for their scrapbooks. This is my daughter’s page. She wrote it herself in her own words.
My son made two versions of this page.
Both of my children were so proud to give their teachers the scrapbook page that they made! I am happy to report the scrapbooks were a hit with the teachers. There were even tears!
I would like to thank all the past and present teachers out there for all that they do for their students! My life would not have been the same without the wonderful teachers I had along the way.
