LEGO Inspired Printable Backpack Tags by Simply Kelly Designs #backtoschool #backpacks #LEGOinspired #printableBoth of my kids are obsessed with LEGOs. They have been building, rebuilding and inventing their own creations all summer long. When I asked them what kind of backpack tags they wanted, they both happily agreed on LEGO inspired tags.

I designed two different LEGO inspired backpack tags. Colin’s tag uses the classic LEGO colors and Kara’s tag is the same colors as her LEGO Friends sets. You can make these tags for yourself with my printable file.

1. Click here to download the PDF or here to download the Silhouette print and cut file. These files are only for your personal use. I would appreciate a comment if you download.

2. Print out the tag(s) and cut them out. For detailed print and cut instructions for the Silhouette, search for “Directions for Silhouette Studio” in this post.

3. Take one self-sealing laminating sheet and place the clear side down. Place the tag facing down on the clear surface. Make sure to center evenly. Bend the top sheet back to separate the white backing. Roll the the backing across the back of the tag while smoothing it down. Smooth and seal the edges with your fingers.

  1. Kelly,
Another great design from you Kelly. I know the kids will enjoy Lego with the bright colors. Identifying their bags in a hurry with the rush of a school day will make the school hustle smoother.
Thank you for sharing your creativity,
    Karen Marie

  2. I love how your bag tags came out!! And that anyone can do it! I’ll be sharing on my page at some point :)

  3. Love these! It’s inspiring me to make luggage tags for my suitcase when we head to SNAP!

  4. Looks just like Legos to me!! :) Cute!

  5. My goodness, my lego-lovin’ nephew would LOVE these backpack tags! I’ve been meaning to give those 3M laminating pouches a whirl!!

    • Funny that you mention the laminating pouches Trisha. I was searching online for something durable I could use to put the tags into and I saw the self laminating pouches. Then I realized that I already had some from my Haven swag bag! LOL!

  6. These tags are just too cute Kelly! I’ll bet your kids love them. I’m going to have to get me some of those self laminating pouches. Have a great week!

  7. Oh I know two boys who would go mad for these tags – I might have to make them some for Christmas!

  8. Cute tags thanks Kelly

  9. Very cute tags. I may have to do something like this for our luggage in October.

  10. These are great, Kelly! Mark and I just saw The Lego Movie recently – – so I’m hyper excited about all things LEGO. I’d love one of these on my backpack as an adult! ;-)

  11. These are seriously so stinkin’ cute! Love Legos!!

  12. These are awesome Kelly! Thanks for sharing. I’m going to have to print one for my son to add to his backpack! Also, I had never heard of those self-laminating sheets before, but I’m pretty sure I am going to start using them for everything!

    • Thank you Rachel. The self-laminating sheets were in my Haven swag bag but I don’t think they made it into everyone’s bag. My friend said she didn’t get one. The self-laminating sheets are so easy to use and work really well. I like that they came with the loops that I could use to attach them to the backpacks.

  13. Thank you for these adorable back pack tags! I will be using them for my 3 kids’ backpacks this school year.

  14. Ok, these are just too awesome! They would work great as luggage tags as well for us grown ups who refuse to grow up. Thanks for joining the Challenge!

  15. Just found your site when doing a search for a backpack tag for my son. He’ll love the Lego tag! Thanks for sharing!
