One Flower

April 13, 2012 By Kelly 4 Comments

This is my Project 365 photo from Wednesday. My kids and I were walking through a courtyard when we saw a fountain surrounded by flowers. I traveled back in time 30 years when I saw these flowers. I remember that we had a beautiful flower garden in front of our house. People driving by would stop and ask us about how we kept the garden so lush and beautiful. I remembered my dad teaching me how to plant flowers in the garden when I was younger. I remember him teaching me how to weed the garden when I was older. I learned my work ethic and got my perfectionism from him. Just a glimpse of these flowers brought back so many memories. Have you ever experienced something similar?

I scrapbook and keep our memories in the hope that someday my children will look at a photograph or see a flower and remember.

I like those flowers. I wish I could say what type they were but I’m terrible with plants.

Don’t feel bad Rachel! I don’t know about plants or flowers either. A FB follower said that the flowers are alyssum.

What a wonderful memory. It really is funny what will trigger those memories. I hope I have instilled a lot in my kids. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚
