My sister’s baby shower was during Labor Day weekend. She requested a paper baby scrapbook for my niece. I asked her if a digital scrapbook would do (so I could have a copy too) but she wanted a paper scrapbook. I have not made a layout with paper in several months so I procrastinated until just before me my trip out to see her.
I started with a large collection of baby girl scrapbook paper and embellishments!
Front Page
I wanted to keep the front page of the scrapbook simple to showcase a 10×8 newborn photo of my niece but I had to add a little bling. 🙂

I will complete the page by putting the baby’s name in glitter letters along the bottom once she is named!
Pregnant Belly Pics
I asked my sister to take profile pictures each month during her pregnancy. When I did this myself, I used signs that I wrote x weeks or x months on but I thought it would be simpler for her to hold up the number of fingers that correspond to how many months she is pregnant at the time.

I did this layout late at night and if you look closely you will see I put two pics of my sister at 5 months on there. My sister discovered my error and it was easily fixed. Luckily I had right number of photo mats on the page. I wanted to have a pic of my sister every month from 2 – 9 months. If she has the baby before 9 months she put a picture of her holding the baby for the last photo.
It’s A Girl
My brother-in-law scanned all my sister’s ultrasounds. I edited each ultrasound in Photoshop to do the following:
– cropped to a 3:2 aspect ratio so they could be printed as a 6×4 photo
– converted to black and white
– added a larger date and time on the image

Ultrasound Pics
The It’s A Girl layout showed just two of the 11 ultrasounds images so I added a We R Memory Keepers 12×12 3-Ring Photo Sleeve with 6×4 Pockets with all the edited ultrasound images. I didn’t take a photo of it but you can see it in this photo of my sister and brother-in-law looking through the scrapbook during their baby shower.
More Layouts
My sister will provide me with pictures after the baby is born and I plan on creating monthly layouts for my niece.
I hope you enjoyed this peek at the baby girl scrapbook layouts I made for my sister!

Good luck with your daughter’s baby album. My daughter is 7 now and she loves to look through her album!
Kelly, you and your sister are beautiful souls (inside and out). Look at the precious look of elation upon your sister’s face as she shows off the photos you have scrapped of your niece-to-be!
You are amazing you know! And what is an album without a bit of glitz and bling, oh my!
Awesome results from a heart that aims to please 🙂
This is so awesome Kelly…what a treasure it will be…and look how happy and beautiful she is!
Thank you Diane! 🙂 I am fully responsible for the baby’s scrapbook/memory keeping! LOL!
Kelly – what a precious gift for your sister. As much as I love digi – I still enjoy the touch and feel of paper. Your work (digi and traditional) is beautiful and shares memories that will be cherished for years.
Thanks Pam! It was fun working with paper again. It did take much longer and I found myself wishing I had the alignment tools and ease of duplication of Photoshop!
