My kids and I made these shirts two years ago and they still wear them now.Bandana Flag Shirt by Sugar Bee CraftsThe red and blue bandanas add visual interest to this bandana flag shirt by Sugar Bee Crafts. You could create this same project with any red or blue fabric scraps.

All American Princess Shirt by Simply Kelly DesignsLast year my daughter was still in her princess phase. It was only fitting that I created this all American princess shirt for her to wear on the 4th of July. I used glitter heat transfer vinyl. A free cut file is included with the post.

4th of July Shirt by Make It & Love ItI adore the ruffles on this 4th of July shirt by Make It & Love It. It requires a little hand sewing but I think even I could manage it.

Upcycled Patriotic Flower Shirt by Me and My InklingsThis upcycled patriotic flower shirt by Me And My Inklings uses buttons, hot glue, ribbon and embroidery floss.I love that it is non-traditional patriotic shirt.

I don’t see these as for children only. I’ll be making a couple of them for myself (larger scale, of course) & I could be a grandma!! Red, white & blue are a special combination!

There are some super cute ideas here! Well, really, all of them are super cute ๐Ÿ™‚ When I was little, my mom and I made so many summer & holiday-themed shirts using iron-on designs and puffy paint; this makes me want to do that again!

Thanks Christine! I love dressing up my kids to. I wish I had made my kids more things when they were younger. I didn’t get crafty until a few years ago. I envy you being crafty from the very beginning! Rowan is very lucky.

Wow love all the different types of patriotic shirts here. My mom always used to dress us up in shirts like these. You should’ve seen the shirts she made us for Christmas!
