Our tradition of giving teacher appreciation scrapbooks continued this year. We had a unique situation this school year because my daughter’s second grade teacher had a daughter in my son’s kindergarten class. So instead of creating two teacher appreciation scrapbooks, I made three. One scrapbook was for my son’s kindergarten teacher with layouts from her class. The second scrapbook was for my daughter’s teacher with layouts from her class. The third teacher appreciation scrapbook was for my daughter’s teacher with layouts from my son and her daugther’s kindergarten class.

The 8×8 scrapbooks I used came with pre-made layouts just waiting for pictures. I took those pages out and inserted my own digital scrapbook layouts.

Digital scrapbooking made it super easy for me to complete my own children’s school scrapbook pages as well as the pages for the teacher appreciation album. I created the pages for my children’s scrapbooks first and then easily swapped out photos and changed the journaling for the teacher pages. The teacher appreciation scrapbooks worked as a great motivation for me to get my children’s scrapbook layouts done too!

I included pictures of as many of the other students in the class. This is the page I made of the same field trip for my daughter’s teacher.

The red arrows point to where her daughter is in the layout. I also included pictures of other students in the layout.

Swapping the photos out in each layout only took me a few minutes but the result was a personalized layout for each person. I did the same type of photo swap for my daughter’s scrapbook pages and her teacher’s scrapbook pages from her own class.

My son wanted to make a layout for the front of his teacher’s scrapbook while my daughter opted to write a sweet note to her teacher on the inside cover of the scrapbook. Both teachers loved their scrapbooks!
