Our 4th of July is always filled with food, friends and fun! Besides dressing up in our patriotric gear, my kids also love to wear patriotic temporary tattoos. Last year, one of my most popular posts was my free patriotic temporary tattoos. This year I designed even more patriotic tattoos for my kids to choose from.
Supplies:
- Silhouette Printable Temporary Tattoo Paper
- Silhouette Scraper or credit card
- Silhouette Portrait and mat or scissors
- inkjet printer
Instructions:
1. You can download my free patriotic temporary tattoo designs for personal use only.
All the designs will look like they are backwards. That is how they need to be to work correctly with the temporary tattoo paper.
2. Print the file you downloaded out onto the glossy side of the white temporary tattoo paper. I printed the Silhouette cut file. The PDF file will look different.
3. Remove the small green strip on one end of the adhesive sheet. Line up the exposed adhesive with the corner of the printed temporary tattoo paper. Smooth it down.
4. Carefully pull back the green backing a little bit at a time and smooth the adhesive sheet as you go. I used the Silhouette scraper to smooth out the sheet. You could also use a credit card. Make sure there are no air bubbles.
5. Cut out the tattoos with scissors or if using the Silhouette, follow the print and cut instructions in this post for Silhouette Studio version 3 or this post for Silhouette Studio version 2.
6. To apply the patriotic temporary tattoos, peel the clear adhesive off the tattoo and place it with the image face down on the skin. Place a damp washcloth on the tattoo for 20 seconds. Peel off the white backing and you’re done!
